One common thread has united us since the beginning: The “State Line.” It’s at the core of who we are. Our city was founded on it, it anchors our shield, and it has been featured in our kits since the introduction of the Sporting era. In 2011, we debuted our first State Line kit with a subtle single-needle stitch intersecting our crest. In 2013, we lifted our first MLS cup as “Sporting” with the now iconic split State Line kit. And now, for 2022, we celebrate State Line 3.0, featuring a subtle embossing of 913/816 – Kansas City’s area codes - in a State Line pattern. It starts at the State Line at the center of our shield and radiates out like a pulse of energy, reaching across the entire Midwest. We wear it on our chest and we feel it in our hearts.
